Dubai: Advertising spending in the UAE increased by 47 per cent in the first half of the year from $655 million (Dh2.41 billion) in 2007 to $929 million in the same period in 2008, according to a report compiled by the Pan Arab Research Centre. An increase of 23 per cent was recorded among all Gulf Cooperation Council countries from $3.05 billion in 2007 to $3.77 billion in 2008.
